On May 3rd, Ranaut’s twitter account was permanently suspended after she made a series of inflammatory tweets regarding the West Bengal assembly election results.

A Twitter spokesperson told that the account was banned due to its “repeated violations of Twitter Rules, specifically our Hateful Conduct policy and Abusive Behaviour policy”.
