Yes, Surrogacy is illegal in the country. Desperate people do desperate things. I don't understand why the biological parents are not contacted. Assuming they disappeared without a trace and Kriti wanted to keep the baby, I don't understand on what basis she decides that the child should go to his biological parents after raising him in a loving environment for 4 years.

Just because they can provide better things in life and they are biological parents doesn't mean the child's emotions can be neglected and has to be separated from the environment he has been raised in. Single mothers are doing an amazing job in the country and would have given this movie a better star had it been a bit progressive in the sense she should have shown as a mother fighting for the rights of her child rather than giving him up getting all emotional. We don't need such movies at all!
